CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Three kayakers were rescued by the Coast Guard yesterday after becoming stranded.
The Coast Guard responded to a 911-relay call around 9:14 p.m. on Wednesday saying that three kayakers were stranded in mud in Hilton Head. Local agencies were unable to rescue them on their own.
An air rescue was performed by the Coast guard at 9:30 p.m. to hoist the kayakers out of the mud, according to a report.
The three kayakers were transported to Hilton Head Airport. No injuries were reported.
