Wando alum Mike Cisco has been called up to Triple-A Lehigh Valley by the Phillies organization the team announced on their website Thursday afternoon.
The former South Carolina pitcher has been putting up impressive numbers in Double-A Reading for the past 2 seasons. Last year he was 8-0 with a 1.59 ERA and 3 saves. This season his record is down to 3-3 but his ERA is also down to 1.08.
This is the 2nd time Cisco has been brought up to Triple-A. Back in 2010 he was moved up to Lehigh Valley for just 1 game where he gave up 8 hits and 5 runs in 6.1 innings.
Cisco was a 36th round selection of the Phillies back in the 2008 draft. He has a 27-22 record all-time in 5 minor league seasons.
