The Berkeley County Council has approved the 2012-2013 budget after one council member filed a motion to reconsider on Friday.
According to Berkeley County Deputy Supervisor Kace Smith, Councilman Steve Davis filed a motion to reconsider the budget, which then passed on a vote of 4-2.
Earlier this week, the proposed budget was voted down 5-3 because some members couldn't agree on funding for a new building dedicated to nursing and science on Trident Technical College's campus. Councilman Davis was the deciding vote.
Every year, the Berkeley County Budget must be passed by June 30.
