Body found at marina in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Police Department is investigating a body that was found at the Seabreeze Marina Sunday morning.

Police say a maintenance worker at the marina found the body of a man wedged between the dock and a boat around 10 a.m.

Authorities say there is no indication of foul play at this time.

The Charleston County Rescue Squad was called in to remove the man's body from the water.

The marina sits on the Cooper River next to the South Carolina Ports Authority Columbus Street Terminal.

The Seabreeze Marina operates as a dry storage facility for boats at the foot of the Ravenel bridge.
