Bond set at $275k for man suspected of shooting at woman

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Bond was set at $275,000 for a man accused of shooting at a woman following an argument in downtown Saturday night.

The Charleston Police Department charged 31-year-old Jamar Donte Miller with attempted murder, second-degree assault and battery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Investigators responded to a home on Nassau Street in reference to gunshots fired around 11:49 p.m.

A 24-year-old woman said as she was returning home, she was approached by a man, who threatened and argued with her.

Police say the man fired one shot at the woman, then fled on foot on Nassau Street towards Columbus Street.
