Teenager wanted for breaking into car at W. Ashley neighborhood

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for a 17 year old accused of stealing money and prescription drugs from a car at a West Ashley neighborhood.

The Charleston Police Department is looking for William Justus Porter who has an active warrant for breaking and entering a motor vehicle.

On the morning of June 4, a police officer responded to a home on Pristine View Road in reference to a larceny.

The victim said sometime between the night of June 3 and the morning of June 4, someone entered two of his unlocked vehicles and went through his belongings and stole money, prescription drugs and a black Nike bag.

Police say an investigation led them to believe that Porter was the suspect in the case.

In addition, the victim's next door neighbor told police that someone had also went through her unlocked vehicle and took 5 bungee cords.

According to police, Porter is believed to be in the company of his girlfriend and is likely staying at a hotel. Porter was last known to be at Motel 6 on Savannah Highway on Monday.
