DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Deputies with the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man in connection with the armed robbery of a Cricket Wireless store on Bacons Bridge Road Wednesday morning.

Cedrick Miller, 31, was arrested shortly after deputies say he robbed a Cricket Wireless store at knife-point at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies caught him after he was spotted walking down Bacons Bride road after the robbery.

According to an incident report, Miller walked in Cricket Wireless and asked the store clerk to show him a phone. The clerk says Miller was acting suspicious and would not let her see his face, so she hit the panic alarm. That is when Miller pulled out a knife and told her to give him all of the store's money, said the victim.

After Miller was given the money, deputies say he fled the store on foot.

A deputy driving down Bacons Bridge Road noticed Miller, who matched the description of the suspect given by the store clerk, walking down the road. When the deputy tried to stop Miller, he says Miller ran, stopping to hide in a storage room at a residence at 107 Danberry Dr.

When Miller came out of the storage room he was arrested. Officials say they found an envelope of money and other loose currency after searching the storage room. The knife that was used in the robbery was later found in a retention ditch on Bacons Bridge Road, said deputies.
