Officials: No evidence of abuse, neglect found in necropsy on K-9

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Officials say a necropsy has been performed on the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office K-9 officer who died over the weekend shows no evidence of abuse or neglect.

On Monday, Major John Garrison said heat was considered to be a possible factor in the death, but on Tuesday, Garrison said the exact cause of death is still unknown.

He also said the dog's death may have been caused by a congenital issue.
