CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Charleston police have arrested one of two suspects wanted for a June 27 armed robbery in downtown Charleston.

Spokesman Charles Francis said 19-year-old Bernard Lamont Manigault Jr. was arrested overnight Thursday and taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Manigault and 17-year-old Samuel Lamont Jones, still wanted by authorities, are charged with armed robbery.  Both suspects are from North Charleston.

Police say the victim was walking from America Street back to his vehicle on East Bay Street when he was approached by the suspects, one of whom was carrying a handgun.

Francis said they robbed the victim of his cellular telephone and his debit card.

Anyone with information about Jones can call Crime Stoppers at 554-1111 or Charleston Police at 577-7434.
