JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Department of Transportation says it will be conducting a traffic study at a James Island intersection that residents describe as dangerous.
Drivers say they've seen multiple wrecks at the South Grimball Road and Folly Road intersection.
Residents and community leaders submitted a petition and requested for a traffic light.
DOT officials say in order for a light to be installed, engineers must look at traffic counts and monitor which direction people are traveling.
The study is scheduled for September when school is back in session.
