GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested nine suspected drug dealers after authorities conducted a county wide round-up on Thursday.
Agents assigned to the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit, which consist of officers and deputies from the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office and Georgetown Police Department, conducted the operation.
The following people were arrested:
Nicolas Morano, 37, charged with distribution of schedule III
Tory Teron Thomas, 24, charged with distribution of crack cocaine
Sophia Loren Simmons, 40, charged with distribution of cocaine
Henry Jermaine Elliott, 38, charged with distribution of cocaine and
possession with intent to distribute marijuana
Earl L. Myers Jr., 26, charged with distribution of crack cocaine
Raymond Keith, 27, charged with possession with intent to distribute
crack cocaine and possession of marijuana (federal indictment)
Willie James Anderson, 41, charged with distribution of cocaine
Brandon Micheal Hanna, 24, charged with distribution of crack
Maurice Javon Grant, 28, charged with two counts of distribution of marijuana
According to investigators, each of the suspects had felony warrants for drug distribution within Georgetown County.
The sheriff's office says many more people were not located and arrested on Thursday but have outstanding felony warrants. Officials say DEU, with assistance from all Georgetown agencies, will be arresting these individuals in the coming days.
The arrestees were transported to Georgetown County Detention Center. The 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit is funded by a grant through the South Carolina
Department of Public Safety.
