CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A local woman wants to flip a historic downtown church into her home and now Charleston City council will decide if she will get her way.
City council will take up the issue Tuesday night.
The woman put in a $1.6 million bid for the St. Andrew's Lutheran Church on Wentworth Street.
She says she wants to preserve the historic building.
Church members are singing a different tune. They want the building to remain a holy sanctuary.
