Report: Drug dealers found with nearly $300k worth of stolen tractors

BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Authorities with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office say they have recovered nearly $300,000 worth of stolen farm tractors in Bonneau.

According to the sheriff's office, a drug enforcement unit was conducting search warrants at a property on Hoodtown Road on Thursday when they discovered marijuana and several stolen items.

An incident report states that officers found three John Deere farm tractors on the property.

The sheriff's office charged 52-year-old Joseph Scott Schurlknight and 44-year-old Tonya Schurlknight with manufacturing marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Joseph Schurlknight was also charged with possession of a stolen firearm. The sheriff's office says additional charges are pending.
