FOLLY BEACH, SC (WCSC) - Five men accused in a brawl on Folly Beach on Fourth of July have asked for a jury trial.
The men were supposed to appear in court last Friday. A sixth suspect has asked for a continuance.
The men are facing various charges including disorderly conduct, inciting a riot and violating city ordinances.
The seventh suspect, 22-year-old Hunter Meadows, was charged with disorderly conduct and assault on police officers.
Four Folly Beach police officers and a Charleston County deputy were injured after police say they were hit with wiffle ball bats and had beer poured on them.
