COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators have arrested two people after authorities located a meth lab at a home in Walterboro.

The Colleton County Sheriff's Office has arrested 40-year-old Thomas Greer McMillan and 37-year-old Kathryn Leean Smoak.

On Monday, members of the Colleton County Sheriff's Office and Walterboro Public Safety Joint Drug Crime Unit executed a narcotic search warrant at a home on Sidney's Road.

According to authorities, during the execution of the search warrant, an active meth lab was discovered at the home. The Joint Drug Crimes Unit secured the scene and requested the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Colleton County Fire and Rescue Hazardous Materials Unit to respond to the scene.

Both of the suspects were decontaminated at the scene and then locked up at the Colleton County Detention Center.

McMillan was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and disposal of waste from production of methamphetamine. Smoak was charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Another person was located at the home and was released after decontamination.
