ORANGEBURG, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators have arrested a 25-year-old Goose Creek man accused of robbing a convenience store in Orangeburg County.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office has charged Brian Bair for armed robbery.

On July 22 after 2 a.m., officers responded to the E-Z Shop on Neeses Highway. The store clerk said he was helping customers when Bair approached him behind the counter with his hand under his shirt implying he had a weapon.

An incident report states that Bair ordered the clerk to open the register and told him, "You better get on the ground before I pop you."

"Officers and investigators worked extremely quickly in this case to identify Brian Bair from the surveillance video and make an arrest," Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said.
