ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 38-year-old man they say shot and wounded another man on Ladson Road earlier Thursday.
Andrew Jerome Graham, Jr. has been charged with one count of attempted murder.
Deputies say the Graham, a Beaufort native, shot an 18-year-old male who was standing around a home on Ladson Road with family members.
Witnesses say the victim was talking with family members when Graham approached them from behind and fired multiple rounds at the victim. Graham then fled the scene in a gold colored car.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound. No other injuries were reported.
Deputies arrested Graham after stopping a vehicle that matched a description given by witnesses at the scene. The suspect was stopped in the area of Folly Rd. and Seaside Rd.
The investigation is ongoing as additional charges may be pending.
