All-star baseball teams from Goose Creek and West Ashley began their run in the Ripken Southeast Regionals on Thursday. 

The West Ashley 12U team lost their opening game in Glen Allen, VA to the team from Orange Park, FL 9-3. Vince Bodison provided most of the offense for West Ashley blasting 2 HR's. They're back in action at 4:30 on Friday. 

The Goose Creek 11U team opening their regional with an 11-7 win over Bellevue, TN. Travis Lott led the way for Goose Creek going 3-4 with 2 HR's and 4 RBI. Walker Howard added 3 RBI and Justin Lifsey also hit a HR. Dylan Stewart got the win for Goose Creek with Josh Davis getting the save. Goose Creek plays again on Friday at 5:00.
