
Antwan Bradley Chaplin
Police have arrested one person in connection with an apartment complex shooting which happened in North Charleston on Tuesday night.
North Charleston Police Department Public Information Officer Spencer Pryor said 28-year-old Antwan Bradley Chaplin, known as "Sandman," was apprehended on Wednesday and was charged with attempted murder.
Police say Bradley was involved in fight around 10 p.m. outside the Airport Apartments at 5220 West Montague Avenue which ended with a shooting.
Police said a man was shot near the ankle. The victim told police he'd been punching Chaplin and then turned around before feeling a bullet hit his leg.
Neighbors said they heard people fighting, then gunshots. When our crew arrived on the scene, they saw a car with bullet holes in the windows being towed away.
Pryor said a number of other suspects were also involved in the physical altercation and further arrests are expected.
Chaplin, who is charged with attempted murder, is set to appear in bond court on Thursday morning.
