FAIRFIELD COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A 15-year-old summer school student at Fairfield Central High School has pleaded no contest in connection with a sexual assault case at the school.
According to the Fairfield County Sheriff's Department, the teen, who cannot be identified because he is a minor, was charged with third degree assault and battery.
Chief Deputy Keith Lewis says a 15-year-old female reported to law enforcement officials that three 15-year-old juvenile males approached her and two of them asked if she would perform a sexual act on them in exchange for $5.
The victim said that the 15-year-old suspect prevented her from walking away and also touched her inappropriately.
The suspect was in family court on Wednesday where he pleaded no contest and was placed on continued intensive probation.
This is the second reported sexual assault case at the school this year. Back on March 12, three teens were accused of inappropriately touching a 14-year-old girl while her teacher was outside of the classroom.
Two of those teens pleaded guilty to the assault and were sentenced to 9 months probation and community service.
