CROSS, S.C. (WCSC) - Someone woke up this morning $500,000 richer after matching all five numbers in the Palmetto Cash 5 lottery, and hitting the multiplier.
And the ticket was purchased in Berkeley County.

The ticket winner spent an extra dollar to "Power-Up", which multiplied the $100,000 prize by 5, bringing in a cool half-million for one lucky person.
The odds of winning $500,000 playing Palmetto cash 5 are 1 in 8,031,072.
According to the South Carolina Lottery, more than 5,000 people won prizes between $1 and $500,000 in last night's Palmetto Cash 5 drawing.
