Report: Teen steals truck from stepfather's home

SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Dorchester County deputies are searching for two suspects who they say stole a vehicle and possibly fled the state with it.

Deputies say 19-year-old Heather Carroll and a man she has reportedly been dating, 49-year-old Michael Salvatore Aldarelli, stole a white 1994 Ford Ranger from Carroll's stepfather on Wednesday night.

According to a report, Carroll was dropped off at her stepfather's home in Scotch Range Estates in Summerville around 11 p.m. Wednesday evening by her grandfather. Her grandfather says he then dropped Aldarelli off on Scotch Range Road.

The victim says while at his home, Carroll asked to use his keys so she could charge her phone in his white 1994 Ford Ranger that was parked in the driveway. Her stepfather gave her the keys.

A little while later, Carroll again asked use the keys so she could get her phone out of the car. That is when officials say Carroll removed the truck key from the victim's key ring before returning the keys.

Later in the evening after Carroll had left, the victim says he noticed his truck was missing.

The stepfather says Carroll and Aldarelli have previously talked about moving out of the state together.
