Mt. Pleasant committee to discuss Oyster Point project

MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - The Mount Pleasant Annexation Committee will meet Monday morning to discuss the Oyster Point development.

Residential developers are hoping to have the 200 acres of land on the Hamlen Sound incorporated into Mt. Pleasant. They also want to have the area rezoned so they can build homes closer together.

The property is near Six Mile Road and North Palmetto Fort Drive. If completed the development will add about 600 houses, duplexes, and townhomes along with marsh and trail access.

The meeting starts at 8:30 a.m.
