MOUNT PLEANSANT, S.C. (AP) - The Carrier Classic basketball event is coming to the South Carolina coast this fall.
The organizers on Tuesday are outlining their plans to transform the carrier deck of the USS Yorktown into a basketball arena.
The game is being played on Nov. 9 on the World War II era carrier that is berthed at the Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant.
During the Nov. 9 doubleheader, the Ohio State women take on last season's national runner-up Notre Dame. The Ohio State men play Marquette.
