MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) - Teachers preparing to set sail on a new school year will board an aircraft carrier in South Carolina to learn the latest in innovations and technology.
A program scheduled for Wednesday aboard the USS Yorktown on Charleston Harbor is sponsored by the Patriots Point Institute of History and Science. Among the panelists is Linda O'Bryon, president and CEO of South Carolina ETV.
The panel is part of the institute's recertification program for teachers being held through Thursday. The program helps teachers learn about new innovations that can help them in the classroom.
