BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - State troopers are investigating an accident in front of Cane Bay High School in Berkeley County.
It happened just before 8 a.m. on State Road. The highway patrol's website is reporting there were injuries in the crash.
With several accidents at the intersection in front of the high school, a much-needed traffic light is finally going up right outside the school off Highway 176.
A crash last year, which sent four students in the hospital, prompted parents and students to petition for a traffic light
DOT officials say the plan is to have a light up and running on the first day of school. The light costs $45,000.
It was paid for by the developer of Cane Bay Plantation and by Berkeley County.
