PGA honors Armed Forces with free admission to championship

The PGA wants to honor the Armed Forces by allowing all military members in for free.

Air Force Master Commander Daniel Martin just returned from Afghanistan a few months ago. He says spending time with his son is wonderful and getting free tickets for the PGA championship is even better.

"Most likely we would not have been able to come," Martin said. "Three days being able to get in complimentary has been great."

The PGA made sure all military members and their families got in free any day of the week. It was their way of saying thank you.

"We want people to go up to them, shake their hand and thank them for the service they provide our country. It allows us to have events like this,"said Roger Warren, President of Kiawah Island Golf Resort

Even though tickets are sold out, any member of the military can come in for free. They just have to check in at the entrance. Their families are welcome too.
