Ashley Phosphate Road reopened following car, building fire

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The North Charleston Fire Department has reopened Ashley Phosphate Road in the area of Peppermill Parkway following a car and building fire earlier Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to a fire which started around 12:45 p.m. in the area of 3381 Ashley Phosphate Road.

Arriving emergency personnel reported that a vehicle caught on fire near the Sho Tyme Bar and Grill and had spread to a nearby building.

Firefighters managed to put the fire out and kept a portion of the road shutdown until 1:41 p.m.

There were no reported injuries.
