West Ashley alum and former South Carolina Offensive Lineman Garrett Chisolm was waived by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday the team announced on their website. 

Chisolm was signed by the team back in January. He also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers last season on their practice squads. 

The 6'6 nearly 300lb lineman graduated from West Ashley in 2006. He'd go on to play 2 seasons with the Gamecocks in 2009 and 2010 going from walk-on to helping them win the SEC East title in 2010.
