2 sought after armed robbery at James Island restaurant

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Investigators with the Charleston County Sheriff's Office are looking for two suspects after an armed robbery happened at a James Island restaurant early Thursday.

Major Jim Brady said the Oasis Bar and Grill, located at 778 Folly Road, was robbed around 3 a.m. by two men wearing stockings over their faces. Brady said one of the men was carrying a silver handgun.

The suspects left the scene with a cash box and rolled coins as well as the employees' cell phones and wallets.

The suspects were described as black males wearing black shirts and black pants. Witnesses said the first suspect appeared to be between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and weighing about 70 pounds. The second suspect was between 5'8" and 5'10" with a stocky build and sideburns.

Both suspects left the grill on foot.
