CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A special celebration was held on Thursday for a special lady. The Saint Andrew's Family Fitness Center in West Ashley hosted a party for Marjorie Hutchinson Howard.
Ms. Marjorie, as she's called, is turning 100. She goes to water aerobics at least two to three times a week and says exercise is one of her secrets to living a long life.
Ms. Marjorie comes from a family of teachers.
She was the first African American teacher to be named teacher of the year after integration.
