CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol says two people were injured after a Kia failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a Goose Creek police vehicle.
Authorities say the accident happened at Ashley Phosphate Road and Stall Road at 9:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
An incident report states that the police vehicle was traveling on Ashley Phosphate Road and was crossing the intersection of Stall Road on a green light.
Officials say the Kia was struck by the police vehicle after failing to give the right of way as it attempted to make a left turn from Ashley Phosphate Road to turn into a private drive.
The driver and passenger in the Kia were transported to the hospital. The driver was issued a summons for failure to yield the right of way.
