Cops charge man with stealing over 1,000 pills from Rite Aid

JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Charleston police arrested a 33-year-old man late Friday hours after they say he held up a pharmacy on Folly Road for more than 1,000 pills.
Police spokesman Charles Francis said Thaddeus James Pokryfka, of Folly Beach, robbed the Rite Aid at 325 Folly Road at 5:40 p.m.
Police said Pokryfka, known by the pharmacist as a frequent customer, took 453 Diazepan pills, 56 Chlordiazepoxide pills, 220 Oxycontin pills and 286 Lorazepan pills after passing a note stating he had a gun.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Pokryfka is charged with armed robbery.
