GEORGETOWN, SC (WCSC) -

Georgetown police are asking for help identifying a man they believe stole a six-gallon gas tank off of a boat anchored behind a framing business on Front Street.

Images provided by investigators show a white male walking onto the porch of The Big Tuna Raw Bar and leaving with the gas can approximately three to four minutes later.

Police say the boat was anchored behind Prince George Framing, located next to the raw bar at 805 Front Street. The theft occurred on August 14.

Police say the man came from the direction of the River Room towards the boat and left in the opposite direction with the gas can in tow.
