Live 5 Most Wanted fugitive on the run for 8 years nabbed in Michigan

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Investigators say a 39-year-old man wanted for skipping probation eight years ago was arrested in Michigan.

Authorities arrested James Michael Meade earlier this month. Meade was featured on Live 5's Most Wanted in 2005.

Meade had pleaded guilty to being an accessory in the armed robbery of a North Charleston convenience store several years ago.

According to authorities, Meade was released from the prison sentence, placed on probation for that balance of the sentence and then took off in 2005.
