Police: Suspects hit cashier with gun, steal register

ST. STEPHEN, SC (WCSC) - Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Wednesday night at a St. Stephen Chinese restaurant.

Officers say two suspects wearing masks and armed with guns entered Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant last night at 10 p.m. The restaurant is located on Russellville Road.

According to officials, the suspects hit the cashier on the head with a gun, and took off with the register.

St. Stephen Police Chief John Waters said the register was found near a high school on Russellville Road, with the cash still inside.

Chief Waters said the victim was not seriously injured.
