Tornado warning expires for southwestern Charleston County

CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A tornado warning for parts of Charleston and Colleton counties has expired.

Around 4:11 p.m., the National Weather Service had received reports of waterspouts off Edisto Beach.

Affected areas included southwestern Charleston County and southeastern Colleton County, specifically Edisto Beach and Edisto Island. Trey Wright with Edisto Beach Public Safety managed to take some pictures of one of the waterspouts.

Earlier in the day officials had reported that one waterspout had already moved inland.

The tornado warning expired around 5 p.m. on Thursday.
