Brett Gardner, OF, NY Yankees – 60-Day DL with a sore right elbow. The Holly Hill native underwent arthroscopic surgery and should miss the rest of the season. He played 9 games batting .321 with 2 RBI and 2 SB's

Matt Wieters, C, Baltimore Orioles – No game. The Stratford alum is batting .238 with 17 HR's, 62 RBI

Justin Smoak, 1B, Seattle Mariners – No game. The Goose Creek native is batting .189 with 14 HR's and 40 RBI in the Majors and .242 with 4 RBI in Triple-A.

International League

Justin Greene, OF, Charlotte (Chicago White Sox) - Suffered a broken hand and will be out the rest of the season. The Stratford alum's season is over after batting .238 with 6 HR's and 25 RBI in Triple-A. He batted .281 with 2 HR's and 13 RBI in Double-A. 

Mike Cisco, P, Lehigh Valley (Philadelphia Phillies) – Did not pitch in a 5-3 loss to Rochester. The Wando alum is 2-0 record with 1 save, 1 hold, a 3.13 ERA and 13 K's in Triple-A. He was 3-3 with 2 saves a 1.21 ERA and 38 K's in Double-A.

Asher Wojciechowski, P, Corpus Christi (Houston Astros) – Did not pitch against Midland. He's 1-2 with a 2.76 ERA in Double-A. He has 24 K's in 32.2 IP. The Beaufort alum was 7-3 with a 3.57 ERA in his time in High-A. He has 76 K's in 93.1 IP

John Cornely, RP,  Lynchburg (Atlanta Braves) – Was promoted to High-A on Thursday. In his debut, pitched 2 inning giving up 0 hits, 0 runs and had 5 K's in an 8-2 win over Winston-Salem The Bishop England alum was 1-3 with 2 holds, 7 saves, a 3.51 ERA and 81 K's in 51.1 IP in A ball.
