Beaufort Co. Sheriff's searching for missing woman

BEAUFORT, SC (WCSC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing St. Helena woman.

Deputies say 46-year-old Zenobia Pauline Simmons was last seen by family members at her Vineyard Point Rd home at approximately 7:15 a.m. Friday morning. She was reported missing just after 6:30 p.m. last night, after her family was unable to locate or make contact with her.

Authorities say Simmons has no known access to a vehicle and took no personal belongings with her. The sheriff's office says there's no evidence of any foul play at this time.

Simmons is a black female, approximately 5'03", 115 lbs and was last seen wearing a blue-flowered nightgown. Sheriff's deputies initiated land searches and K9 searches Friday night which continued Saturday morning. A helicopter from SLED and the Sheriff's Office Marine Patrol have joined the search efforts Saturday.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Zenobia Simmons to contact the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at 843-524-2777.
