SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Police are investigating after they say thieves used a stolen forklift to steal an ATM machine from a Summerville bank early Monday.
According to Summerville Police Department, the ATM was stolen from the CPM Federal Credit Union, located at 140 Westvaco Road, just before 4 a.m.
When police responded to the scene, they located the forklift, which was apparently stolen from a nearby construction site.
Police said the operator of the forklift knocked the ATM from its location out of the sight of surveillance cameras.
The ATM was then removed from the scene in an unknown model pickup truck, police said.
No suspects have been identified.
