JAMES ISLAND, SC (WCSC) -

Four more wild dogs were captured on James Island over the weekend.

Charleston County Animal Control caught one dog in the Honey Hill area and city animal control trapped three dogs.

That brings the total to 11 wild dogs found in that area over the past couple of weeks.

Charleston County Sheriff Al Cannon says scientific tests are being done on the dogs to see if they are to blame for killing cats in that area.

Some of the dogs have been put down.

Animal control workers will have to determine if the others are too dangerous to be adopted.
