CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Charleston County Sheriff's Office wants to make sure residents have a safe Labor Day weekend celebration.
To promote safety, the sheriff's office and the Highway Enforcement of Aggressive Traffic unit (H.E.A.T.) have established a DUI enforcement plan.
From Friday, August 31 through Sunday, September 2 law enforcement will conduct "enhanced enforcement of traffic violations," according to a release by the sheriff's office.
Officials say they will particularly be on the lookout for those suspected of driving under the influence.
The Charleston County Sheriff's Office reminds everyone to celebrate responsibly, wear a seatbelt, and use a designated driver.
