BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -
The Berekley County Sheriff's Office has released the original missing incident report on the two women found dead in the Francis Marion Forest this week.
In the report, Woods' mother told authorities on Monday that her daughter and Guerry were originally going to Burger King in Moncks Corner on Sunday, but around 8 p.m., Woods called again and said she was going to McDonald's instead before she and Guerry were going to take a friend of Guerry's home.
The report states Woods did not tell her mother the name of the friend, or their destination.
The mother told deputies after the two women did not return by 3 a.m. Monday, she began to call their cell phones, which rang four times before switching to voicemail.
Woods' mother said starting at 5 a.m., her calls were directed directly to voicemail.
Both parents told investigators that there was no argument before the two missing women left, and that the lack of communication from their daughters was not normal.
A witness told deputies that he saw Woods' car, a 2000 Chevrolet Metro, being driven by a white male with short hair. According to the witness, the car was traveling north on Highway 52 across the Tail Race bridge. The witness said he believed the car turned onto Highway 402.
Deputies say they patrolled the area for the vehicle but did not find it.
Sheriff's office investigators also accessed Verizon phone records for Woods, which showed the 18-year-old's cell phone's location was last registered with a cell tower at 3:27 a.m. Monday. That call pinged off a tower in Summerville near Gelzer Lane and Wildgame Road, the report states.
Days later, search crews found the charred Metro and the bodies of both women in the Francis Marion Forest near Cordsville. The coroner's office says Woods and Guerry died from gunshot wounds.
