CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Council will hold a third reading of a proposed smoking ban on Tuesday. A second reading of the ban was passed on August 21.
The ban would cover bars and restaurants in the county that are not governed by city regulations.
If the ban passes tonight, bars and restaurants currently offering smoking will be required by law to change their policy.
The Finance Committee of Charleston County approved the measure this past July that would ban smoking in bars and restaurants in unincorporated areas.
