CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate a shooting that happened in the area of a club in Ravenel early Monday morning.
Officials say the shooting happened at Club Rosa on 6278 Highway 162 around 1:30 a.m. Deputies responded to the scene but the 22-year-old victim was already en route to the hospital in West Ashley, according to the sheriff's office.
An incident report states that when deputies were heading to the scene, they received multiple reports of shots in the area. Deputies say when they got on scene, a witness handed them a gun that was found in the area.
According to investigators, deputies detained 30-year-old Ricardo Chisolm of Adams Run who was seen walking in the parking lot. Investigators say Chisolm told authorities that the gun was his.
When a records check on the gun was done, it came back stolen out of Georgia. Investigators say Chisolm then said that the gun belonged to someone else.
A records check of Chisolm revealed that he was wanted by the sheriff's office and the North Charleston Police Department. Chisolm was then locked up at the Charleston County Detention Center.
The victim's injuries were not life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.
