Cat euthanized after shot by arrow at Hanahan neighborhood

HANAHAN, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a cat had to be euthanized after getting shot in the back with an arrow at a neighborhood in Hanahan.

The Hanahan Police Department responded to a home on Northgate Drive at 7:04 a.m. on Tuesday regarding a cat that was shot with an arrow.

The owner told police she found her 8-year-old outdoor car that morning shot in the back with an arrow.

Police say that the cat was still alive and responsive when officers got on scene. Authorities say the veterinarian had to euthanize the animal.

The owner told police that she had seen kids in the area with a bow and arrow but did not know who they were.
