A woman made a tearful plea Tuesday for help to solve her son's murder. The victim, 25 year old Antonio McCullough was ambushed March 20, at the Collins Park Villas apartment complex on Dorchester Road in North Charleston.

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

A 24-year-old man was given an 18 year sentence for the death of his ex-girlfriend's mother.

Court officials say Kevin Herriott accepted a plea for voluntary manslaughter in the June 2010 death of 50-year-old Joyce Dupree.

Charleston Police said Herriott got into a dispute with his girlfriend in the early morning hours of July 24, 2010 at a home on Norman Street in downtown.

Police say Herriott shot his ex-girlfriend's mother, Dupree, and a man during the dispute.

Investigators say Herriott surrendered that afternoon with the support of a family member and his pastor.
