Deputies investigating vehicle break-ins at West Ashley business park

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is investigating a string of vehicle break-ins at a West Ashley business park.

At 7:20 a.m. on Thursday, deputies say they responded to 1941 Savage Road in reference to a series of vehicle break-ins that are believed to have happened after midnight on Wednesday.

According to investigators, 10 vehicles appear to have been entered into, most by breaking the windows, and various items were reported stolen to include several GPS units.

The sheriff's office says the vehicles belonged to a mix of businesses within the park and privately owned. Authorities are reminding vehicle owners to remove any items of value when leaving vehicles unoccupied.
