CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police say a 3-year-old girl was not injured after a U-Haul truck struck a stroller in downtown Friday morning.
The Charleston Police Department says a man was standing with his daughter, who was in a stroller, at the intersection of King and Line streets when a 21-foot U-Haul truck made a right turn on a red light and struck the stroller.
When a pedestrian yelled at the driver that he had struck the stroller, the driver stopped the truck.
Authorities say the little girl was not injured and was taken to MUSC to be checked out.
The driver of the truck was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.
