BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office has arrested a woman and are looking to identify three suspects who were armed with an AK-47 and shotgun in a Sunday night home invasion.
Investigators charged 37-year-old Shannon Margaret Barnett with first-degree burglary, armed robbery and three counts of kidnapping.
On Sunday night, deputies were looking for a black Infiniti sedan that was reportedly seen leaving a home on Windsong Lane after a burglary and robbery at a home.
Deputies say they stopped a black 2006 Infiniti, which Barnett was driving, in the area of Qualls Drive and Vanita Drive. Barnett was then positively identified as one of four people involved in the robbery.
Investigators responded to the Windsong Lane home where they met three male victims who said that three men, armed with an AK-47 and shotgun, broke into their home through a rear door. The victims said the suspects then held them at gunpoint in the living room as a woman, known to the victims as Shannon, entered the home and began going through the bedrooms.
An incident report states that after the suspects stole a camera, they left the home leaving the victims unharmed. The victims then called 911 and saw the suspects leaving in a black Infiniti.
Police describe the three male suspects as between 25 and 30 years old, wearing blue jeans, black shirts and bandanas covering their faces.
The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information to contact Investigator Cpl. A Zsamar at (843) 255-3408 or the Beaufort County Dispatch Center at (843) 524-2777.
